Komatsu part numbers look cryptic at first glance, but they follow a predictable pattern: a family prefix, a component group and a sequential number. Once you can break the number down, finding the right replacement becomes far quicker.
Take a number such as 14X-27-11170. The leading block identifies the machine family or component group, the middle block narrows down the assembly, and the trailing block identifies the individual part. When you order, always quote the complete number exactly as it appears in the parts book.
